“For me, photography is not just my passion; it is so much more than that. Photography is the art of documenting life. As a wedding photographer, I deal with different emotions on a day-to-day basis. “I started taking photographs during my vacations to kill time; never in a million years did I think that I would make a career out of this. I love documenting everyday stories and that is why I really enjoy photographing weddings. There are so many stories to tell in each frame, in each and every moment. One day, I would love to document a wedding in just black and white! Just two simple colours are all it really takes to capture the beauty of everything; to understand true emotion, to build a storyline and even to capture the subject in depth,” shared Rohan.
“Being from a technical background with no idea about photography, I never imagined I would end up accepting the best photography award for Lightbucket Productions. I never had a passion for photography, so to speak, but I always had a passion for storytelling. Receiving this award from WedMeGood is truly amazing and I am so happy that I had the honour of representing Lightbucket Productions, a huge name in the industry. This award is the driving force to make us work with more enthusiasm, expand our vision and achieve our goals. A big thank you to the entire team; this award will help us give our best output!” said Karthik, the Head of Operations and Production Manager at Lightbucket Productions.
Originally, I joined Lightbucket Productions as a freelance colourist. It was only after joining that I was intrigued by the idea of photography so I went for a photo shoot and just fell in love with the whole concept. When I worked as an AD on films, we used to recreate moments multiple times. But with weddings, it’s different! If you miss the moment, you cannot recreate it. And if you capture the moment, the clients can relive that moment for life! That is what got me hooked on the concept of wedding photography and storytelling,” added Karthik.
