Mahen and Abha

Mahen and Abha met in Hyderabad through some common friends and hit it off almost instantly. After meeting each other a few more times with their friends, these two started dating. Once they told their families, everyone was all set to lock it down. So, Mahen and Abha literally just had one month to plan their wedding! This meant a whole lot of running around, quite a few last-minute decisions and so much preparation in such little time. But as Mahen said, “Even though we just had one month to prepare for the wedding, we had fun running around and getting everything organized”.

Mahen and Abha and a total of five functions. The first one was the spinsters and mehendi in Mumbai, followed by the haldi and wedding in Lonavala and finally the reception in Hyderabad. The haldi function was so much fun; according to Mahen and Abha, their guests enjoyed the haldi function the most and it really shows! The vibrant décor, the detailed planning, the peppy music and the amazing food certainly stood out, but the best thing about this function was the happy faces all across the room. 

For Abha, the most special memory from her wedding day is her bridal entry. For her, it was an absolutely magical moment; it was a very emotional moment for her and what really touched her heart is that Mahen cried when he saw her for the first time all dressed up as a bride. In fact, Abha told us that Mahen still gets very emotional when he sees the photographs or videos of the wedding day, especially her bridal entry. And when Abha watches the videos, the look of love in Mahen’s eyes just melts her heart and makes her fall in love with him all over again. Also, since Abha is from Mumbai and Mahen is from Hyderabad, their family, friends and relatives had a great time at the wedding and the reception learning about the different functions, rituals, and ceremonies while enjoying the various celebrations.

Photographing this wedding was a great experience for us, and we couldn’t wait to hear what Mahen and Abha had to say. Abha essentially chose Lightbucket Productions just 3 days before their wedding. She saw our portfolio on Instagram and what caught her eye was the candid photographs as well as the attention to detail in the videos. Of course, they were stressed about how things will work out at the last minute, and to be honest, so were we. We barely got to speak to the bride and groom to understand their vision or figure out their preferences, we literally were getting to know them at the functions. So of course, we were eager to hear their feedback. Abha said, “The end results were amazing. Your team captured everything so beautifully. Every moment was captured and the photography skills are just superb. Your team gave their 200 per cent and I give them top marks for patience.
