Manasa and Mayurneil

Manasa and Mayurneil met at work, they both worked for the same company and happened to be on the same team. Surprisingly, their office romance started only once they both put in their notice periods and as they say, the rest is history. This couple was all set to get married, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they had to delay their celebrations. During the pandemic, Manasa and Mayurneil had two wedding ceremonies to make it official. But, they wanted to have a bigger celebration with their family and friends. When they started sending out invites, people were reverting with messages like “Aren’t you already married?” which Manasa found very amusing.

Nonetheless, Manasa and Mayurneil were both quite happy that they could have a wedding celebration with their extended family and friends in January 2023 to mark a special milestone in their lives. They first had a haldi and mehendi function at home to start the wedding festivities. Manasa and Mayurneil did not have a sangeet because Mayurneil was not really up for dancing, but they did have a lot of fun at their mehendi function which more than made up for not having a sangeet in Manasa’s eyes. Manasa wanted to have one event at her house and she thought that the mehendi would be perfect; after all, it was quite an intimate affair. The next function was one that was very close to Mayurneil’s heart. Since Mayurneil is from Assam, they have a special function known as juroon in their culture. In this function, the groom, his family and all the ladies come to the bride’s house with gifts. So, the Juroon was the first function that the couple had together with families from both sides attending.

The next day, Manasa and Mayurneil had a typical Telugu wedding in her hometown in Hyderabad. Manasa looked like an absolute dream in a gorgeous orange saare that she paired with a pink blouse. Mayurneil looked handsome as ever in his traditional Telugu attire and these two looked picture-perfect. And to add to that, they had planned the wedding décor to perfectly compliment their outfits and oh wow they certainly did a great job! The wedding was filled with love and laughter and you could see the two families coming together. As Manasa said, “All the events went off beautifully, the exchange of cultures and traditions was heartwarming and I was so happy to see both our families and friends come together.” A few days after the wedding, Manasa and Mayurneil had a reception in Guwahati, which is Mayurneil’s hometown.

After witnessing such a beautiful cross-cultural wedding, our team got in touch with Manasa and Mayurneil to hear their thoughts and feedback. Manasa told us that she has previously seen our work at a friend's wedding and what stood out to her was our natural photography. She told us, “When I reached out to your company, your team got back to me so promptly. And, you adjusted the itinerary according to our needs which is something we truly appreciate. Working with your team was a breeze and I am so happy that I choose Lightbucket Productions for my wedding.”
