Priya and Shreyas

Priya and Shreyas met in school and have been together for years. As Shreyas said, “It feels like I have known her for a lifetime, yet I cannot wait to spend the rest of my lifetime with her”. These two are just adorable and they certainly exude couple goals. They work in sync, they work together and they work off each other which is what makes them perfect. For instance, when it came to the wedding planning process, Shreyas believed he only had one decision to make and that was the girl that he was going to marry. The rest really did not matter. He would always tell Priya, “ I want to marry you. Only you. I do not care how, when, where and in what. It just does not matter as long as I get to marry you”.

So, Priya and Shreyas had a cosy engagement function at home in June with their close family and friends. Their wedding date was set for a few months later. What they did not expect was that they would have to juggle the dates due to some reasons and that they would end up setting their new wedding date for August. Imagine, just a little over a month to plan their wedding. Well, Priya said that Shreyas let her make all the decisions. He had some say in the food, but that was about it. He left the rest up to her, which means she was able to make quick decisions. And, since she always knew what kind of wedding she wanted, it wasn’t very hard to make those decisions. So, they first had a haldi function at home. Priya had a small madhumagalu, haldi and small function at her house while Shreyas had his haldi function at this place.

The next day, they had a grand reception at Manikya, Chamara Vajra where they were surrounded by their family and friends. This was one function where they invited everyone from both sides of the family, all their friends and acquaintances and basically enjoyed the big fat Indian wedding experience. Priya said that she always wanted to have a small intimate wedding, so this was their chance to invite everyone while keeping the wedding ceremony small. While Priya did not mind having a sangeet, Shreyas never much cared for the idea of the sangeet so the couple never had one. But, their friends got to drink and dance at their reception, so all was well. After all, isn’t the sangeet just another reason to have a great time?

The next day was the muhurtham. Priya was the most excited for the muhurtham because she was finally going to marry the love of her life. Also, she was really excited to see the beautifully minimalistic set-up and the gorgeous mandap that she had designed. She had dreamed of walking down the white bridge to the mandap the very first time that she lay her eyes on the bridge, and she had now managed to make her wedding dreams come true. For Priya, the wedding day was just surreal. She said, “We had a very cosy wedding and we were blessed by the rain gods. What more could we ask for”? For her, the most special moment was the outfit reveal. When she and Shreayas saw each other for the first time, they both fell in love with each other all over again. She said, “The way we felt while looking at each other in our wedding outfits is an experience that I cannot put into words, but it certainly is a memory that I hold close to my heart”.

Our team was really blown away by the minimal decor, the stunning and unique mandap and the overall vibe of the event so we loved each and every photograph at this wedding, but we had to know what the couple thought. Priya said that she just loved the photographs and that her overall experience was perfect. “I came across Lightbucket Productions on Instagram and I really liked what I saw. And when the photographs arrived, I was just in awe. The team was so professional and easy to work with, I felt as though I have known them forever.
