Arundhati Jagadish and Daniel Read
Arundhati met Daniel at the University of Georgia, where both of them were doing a PhD. I guess we can say it was love at first sight, or at least love at first Spock. Basically, Arundhati and Daniel realised they both love the famous TV series Star Trek, and that is how the couple actually started spending time and bonding. In fact, they even sent out Star Trek themed ‘Save the Date’ invites to honour their shared love for the show.
Arundhati wanted to have a traditional big fat Indian wedding and Daniel was super excited about the same. Arundhati’s family acted as the wedding planners and made sure that everything went as per plan. They had three main functions, a mehendi, a sangeet and then the wedding. The mehendi function was the first event that took place at Arundhati’s house, three days before the wedding. This was the event where Daniel and Arundhati’s family and friends met, bonded and started the festivities with a bang.
After that, the couple had their sangeet at Bangalore Golf Club where they certainly set fire to the dance floor. Dan and Arundhati danced to many songs, with their favourites being “You Are My Soniya", "Maahi Ve", and "Naatu Naatu." And can we just say, Daniel was an absolute natural! His Bollywood dance moves were absolutely on point. The Sangeet function went off smoothly, exactly what the couple envisioned, with a whole lot of fun and dancing, move-busting Bollywood and Tollywood songs and of course, delicious food! The wedding venue was the Shankaraa Foundation, where Daniel and Arundhati tied the knot! In fact, the wedding day was the highlight of this function. Arundhati recalls the moment when she and Daniel saw each other for the first time in their wedding outfits when the antarpat dropped, and she will cherish the special moment forever. And, she’s going to remember the food, of course!
Arundhati looked absolutely stunning in all her wedding looks, especially on her wedding day. She wore two saris, one from Deepam and another from Angadi Silks. She first wore a rust orange sari and she looked like a stunning quintessential traditional South-Indian bride, after which she changed in a gorgeous turquoise blue sari that looked absolutely regal. Daniel totally rocked his Indian attire; he wore a kurta from Fab India and one from Ethnix and wow, did he give us groom goals or what!
So of course, we asked Arundhati what made her choose us for her special day. She said, “We choose Light Bucket Productions because of their honest and elegant photography. We had a great experience with Light Bucket Productions; the photographers did a great job capturing all the important moments of our wedding and the post-production team was also quick and efficient. Overall, we felt that everything was done very professionally and the end result was nothing short of perfection. Our experience was absolutely wonderful.”
