Swetha and Jayakrishnan
Swetha and Jayakrishnan have known each other since they were kids; they went to the same high school as well as the same coaching classes. They lost touch after high school, but a few years later, a mutual friend, let’s call him Cupid, re-introduced the two. Swetha and Jayakrishnan got reacquainted, started hanging out a lot more and eventually fell in love. And 9 years later, here we are. This love story is just so special, and the bond the couple share is truly very special!
While the wedding planning process was crazy, to say the least, Swetha and Jayakrishnan along with their families thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Swetha even shared a funny anecdote with us. When she and Jayakrishnan were looking for caterers, they decided to do a taste test at a stranger’s wedding. Funnily enough, they ended up at the wrong venue and even blended in with the guests. While the taste test was unsuccessful, they successfully gate-crashed a wedding and probably ended up in that random couple’s wedding video! This story is one for the ages; their grandkids will probably hear about it too.
Swetha and Jayakrishnan’s wedding events were spread out over three days. The first day was the engagement followed by a small sangeet. Swetha looked drop-dead gorgeous in an exquisite outfit from Kanakavalli and Jayakrishnan complimented her perfectly. In fact, for Jayakrishnan, the sangeet created some of his fondest memories. He remembers the dance performances that he thoroughly cherished. After the dance practice sessions coupled with a whole lot of bloopers, many of which have been caught on video, he was so happy that the performers went off perfectly. He and Swetha shook a leg to “Chellama Chellama”, “Halamathi Habibo “ and “Oh Penne”, and was their dance performance fabulous or what! For him, the sangeet night was the most memorable, filled with a whole lot of dance, some crazy dance steps and sounds of laughter and encouragement - the perfect kind of wedding memory, if you ask us.
The next day, the couple hosted a reception for all their friends, family and loved ones, followed by the wedding. Swetha wore a beautiful saree from Label Pallavi Namdev for her reception and yet another exquisite saare from Kanakavalli on her wedding day. And can we just say, she looked like a dream! For Swetha, her favourite memory was the moment that she and Jay tied the knot. Seeing the happiness on her father's face made her so emotional, and that moment was just so heartwarming. And of course, after 9 years of being together, we were finally a married couple - that was the best feeling ever, she said.
After the wedding functions were over, we sent Swetha and Jayakrishnan the photographs and videos from the wedding and asked for her feedback.
