Trust us when it comes to low-light photography!
Every bride-to-be knows that light can make or break a photograph. The right light can accentuate your makeup, whereas the wrong light could make your ice-blue lehenga look mint green. Technically speaking, light is what allows photographers to capture emotions, convey information and use their creative ability to carve out a scene through one single photograph. We at Light Bucket Productions love playing the light source, especially during low-light photography.
As the name suggests, low-light photography involves a minimal source of light and in some cases, almost no light at all. For instance, when a bride is getting ready in a hotel room, the light source might not be too great – that is where our low-light photography skills come into play. Similarly, if the bride wants to have her pre-wedding shoot in the banquet hall, or maybe she wants to have a sunset shoot with her fiancé, where the lighting could be rather dim, we get our best low-light photography game on. In our opinion, any outdoor shoot between dusk to dawn could be termed low-light photography, especially if the bride-to-be wants us to shoot with natural lighting.
And the list doesn’t end here. Indoor sangeets, late-night outdoor weddings and even youngster parties that go on till the wee hours of the morning have many situations where we need to click pictures with the least light! The couple sitting at the mandap, people taking shots at the youngster's party, the couple walking into the venue surrounded by fairy lights, friends and family shaking a leg on the dance floor; these are just a few other situations where we work with low sources of light. But, be rest assured, as a production house, we are adept at dealing with low-light situations and taking the best photographs. In fact, our teams of photographers have been trained to understand the source of light, adjust their lenses, change their camera settings and capture the perfect frame, without using flash! After all, which couple wants a flashing light in their eyes at their special moment? And don’t worry, our editing team will take these fantastic low-light photographs and edit them into something that is no less than pure brilliance. Our point is, you’re going to be awed by the end results!
To be honest, we actually love low-light photography when we are trying to capture the bride’s makeup. A low-light source enhances the makeup in just the right way, where the bride's beauty accentuates multifold without showing each stroke of makeup. In fact, bridal portraits and full-length pictures of the bride in low-light settings always turn out amazing; it’s just about finding the right source of lighting and positioning the bride accordingly. So, brides and grooms-to-be, if you’re worried about your venue not having enough light or that your wedding ceremony is not during the golden hour, we are here to ease your mind. At Light Bucket Productions, our team specialises in low-light photography, and we’re here to make sure that your wedding day pictures are nothing less than perfect.
Although we have come one step ahead in providing opportunities and space that adheres not just to male workers, we have a long way to go. This industry still has to make space for women’s safety and respect for women in the workplace. There are a lot of missed opportunities that women aren't able to take up simply because it can be an unsafe environment with the unusual hours and the crowds of people of all kinds, and we must look into finding optimal solutions for that because equality first means providing equal opportunities. These powerful women have fought their own kind battles and jumped all sorts of hurdles just to bring their dream to life , so we must credit that - not only by applause, validation and mere actions but by providing them a space they can feel comfortable enough to express, experiment and provide you with much happier results. So this women's day let's take a stand not just to use one day to glorify women but to celebrate humanity by making it a place where any person at any time irrespective of what gender they identify with, doesn't have to worry about the consequences of bringing their passion into the realm of reality, by providing them with a space equal to all and a reward equal to all. Wishing all the hard working powerful women out there who put their everything out there for the things they are passionate about , A very happy women’s day.
