Chaitra and Arjun
Chaitra and Arjun met in Boston, while they were walking to and from the train station. Arjun was walking to the train station with Chaitra’s roommate and that’s how they were introduced. They discovered that they were both from Bangalore and immediately hit it off. Chaitra said it was like a “kismet connection” because these two spoke non-stop… and seven years later, here we are, at their wedding! A happy ever after love story, indeed.
Chaitra and Arjun felt that planning the wedding from Boston might be tough, but their parents and wedding planners helped them every step of the way. In fact, the wedding planning process turned out to be more fun than stressful! This adorable couple had four functions, a haldi ceremony, a mehendi, a traditional South Indian wedding followed by a cocktail sangeet cum reception. Their haldi ceremony was delightful. “Laughter, leg-pulling, camaraderie with a pungent yet tangy whiff of turmeric in the air “ is how Chaitra described her haldi!
The next day was the mehendi, which was filled with dhols and dancing. A true celebration of their love, their mehendi function set the tone for the functions to come. Chaitra wore a beautiful outfit from Avani Boutique and for the mehendi she looked stunning in a lehenga from Fulki Studio. Arjun chose both his outfits from Paresh Lamba, and can we say that he looked absolutely dapper! The couple had a traditional South Indian wedding in a breathtaking Hampi-themed wedding hall. From the marigold decor to the nadaswaras, and the love-filled glances of love between the couple, their wedding was truly fabulous. The bride looked enteral in a regal saree from House of Angadi while the groom looked handsome as ever in his traditional attire from Ramraj.
The wedding was followed by a cocktail cum sangeet where everyone danced, let loose and just had a whole lot of fun. Chaitra wore a gorgeous outfit from Seema Gujral Design while Arjun complimented her in a chic outfit from Paresh Lamba. The dance performances were the highlight of this event, with the couple dancing to “pehle bar”, “you are my soniya” and “ainvayi ainvayi”. Chaitra claims they only practised the dance twice, but we think they did a fabulous job on stage! Though, for Chaitra, the highlight was Arjun’s entry and solo performance on her two favourite songs, “bar bar dekho”, “kala chashma” and “dil mein baji guitar”. A memorable night in every sense, Chaitra and Arjun had so much fun, and so did their family and friends. Every single person set the dance floor on fire and the couple was so happy to see their families dancing their hearts out.
Chaitra told us how she had shortlisted a few photographers, but after speaking to our team she decided to go with us. As she said, “The positive feedback we got from our friends who have previously worked with LightBucket Productions just helped us seal the deal. And we are so happy we made the right decision! LBP is definitely going to be our first and only choice for all our future events.”
